All-electric courier Packfleet is partnering with sustainable home delivery service bodo to help scale eco-friendly delivery services across London.

Since the start of Packfleet and bodo’s collaboration in May, almost 98% of parcels have been delivered first time, with not a single item damaged in transit, helping to make eco-friendly deliveries more accessible for London-based brands.

In its latest expansion, the retailer will work with Packfleet to provide more environmentally sound delivery options for Bodo’s portfolio – which includes brands such as SURI, COAT, Trip CBD, Hey Harper, PeachyDen and Free Soul – to all customers within the M25.

The e-commerce operator’s warehouses are also maintained by solar energy and it use eco-packaging to keep its items, and both teams are certified B corps.

Bodo co-founder Jack Green said: “Partnering with Packfleet, a market-leading sustainable courier, furthers our progress in decarbonising the eCommerce supply chain. Packfleet is helping us disband this idea that speed and convenience should come at an environmental cost”

Packfleet co-founder Tristan Thomas added: “We’re thrilled to join forces with bodo in our shared mission to provide sustainable delivery solutions.”

“With our 100% electric fleet, combined with bodo’s eco-friendly warehouses and packaging, we’re providing a carbon-neutral end-to-end delivery experience to some of London’s most exciting brands.”

The move comes as policymakers are aiming to tackle London’s air pollution with measures such as Ulez, which places a charge on those who use polluting vehicles, and follows previous collaborations from Packfleet such as working with fashion brand Oh Polly.

As well as e-commerce retailers, food delivery services like Just Eat, as well as leading UK supermarkets, and local councils have all been embracing electric vehicles as part of their efforts to drive down pollution.
