Vivienne Westwood increases WFH days to boost energy-efficiency

Vivienne Westwood has increased its south London office work from home days to three days a week as part of an energy-efficiency drive.

In company filings, the fashion brand said: “We have implemented hybrid working, with staff working from home three days a week.”

“The brand voice is used to raise awareness of the environmental impact of overconsumption urging people to buy less and buy better quality items.”

As first reported by the Telegraph, company also said it had taken measures to cut emissions with LED lights and acquire more of its energy from renewables.

However, it said emissions had risen as travel and high street shopping returned and the company’s business grew.

The brand is also urging customers to buy less “to raise awareness of the environmental impact of overconsumption”.

The brand’s founder Dame Vivienne Westwood had campaigned with Greenpeace and Just Stop oil towards her later years, devoting her work to the environment.
