Co-op is reducing its energy in its data centres by moving from a traditional data centre model to a fully managed, scalable cloud environment.
The convenience retailer has extended its partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to establish future capabilities and drive growth.
It also aims to reduce energy consumption, support sustainability objectives, and manage the hybrid cloud and SaaS estate for improved resilience and agility.

The IT change follows the supermarket launching the UK’s first convenience retail media network, which will improve relevancy for shoppers and help brands reach wider audiences.
Elsewhere, Co-op is using discarded office waste to launch the UK’s first own-brand kitchen towel made from 100% recycled content.
